We enjoyed dinner here enormously. Shared two starters - toasted pumpkin and sardines. Both of which were wonderful. Mains we had the pork and the cod and shared miso cabbage. Id go back just for the cabbage! We were also introduced to Snake + Herring wines, and enjoyed them so much we decided to purchase a couple of cases to be shipped to Singapore. Service at Yarri is also a cut above. If youre a duo, wed recommend sitting at the kitchen bar to take in the action. Thanks Yarri!
An excellent experience. We sat at the bar facing the kitchen and watched the meals being created. It was fun, warm and friendly; and also professional with amazing food. A unique combination which made for a fantastic night. Thanks Aaron and the team for a great night!
Shane was an amazing waiter. The food was on point. We had the most delightful time. Water and wine topped up without even thinking. Relaxed, friendly and professional all mixed in the perfect amount. Best hospo spot I've been to in years.
Menu was creative and made wonderful use of local produce and native ingredients. Service was warm, fun and casual - like a dinner party with friends. Our waitress managed to strike the perfect balance between casual and professional, which I found suited the space and made us feel at home.The interior is gorgeous and the restaurant size intimate, without feeling like youre too close to your neighbouring diners. I felt like there could have been a bit more staff knowledge about the wine, as maybe they havent been trained enough in that area. Would have loved some more wine recommendations and details about what we were drinking.
As soon as we stepped in from the street we were blown away. Having dined throughout the southern region for a week we were amazed at what Yarri had to offer. The layout, colours and team working front and back of house work magic together. Do yourself a favour and ask for recommendations. Dishes we would never have picked turned out to be favourites.
